Battleships - Did you ...? - past simple

The battleship board game allows students to practice questions with Did you ...? (Yes, I did. No, I didn't). First, each student puts their ships in the left grid. They shoot by saying the question with an appropriate row and column. The lef grid is used for marking missed shots (dots) and successful ones (crosses). If the ship is completely destroyed they say SUNK.If sb doesn't understand they use some phrases like “Sorry?”.

Battleships for Present Simple Questions

The process is a little difficult to explain, but this is a good way for students to form present simple questions about the third person. I also use this as a way of presenting typical English names. There are instructions for play on the side of the sheet, but it's a good idea to print off an extra sheet to use as an example of ship placement.This is my first homemade worksheet, so I would appreciate feedback!

Battleships Making Plans Speaking Game

First go over questions to make plans and both positive and negative responses. ie "Let's go swimming" or "Why don't we see a movie?" "Sure, sounds good." "Sorry, I can't." etc. The students secretly put their battleships in their oceans, and get into pairs. They attack by trying to make plans on the given days, and the partner responds based on whether they hit or missed the battleship.

This is a one-on-one speaking activity. Each participant has one copy of the worksheet. Student A decides what the first five people like (2 items per person), student B decides on the other five people's favourite food (see the example). They take turns to ask each other questions about the people they don't know about, e.g. "Does Lisa like strawberry? - Yes, she does./No, she doesn't". The first one to guess all ten foods correctly is the winner.
